What You’ll Do

  • Assist with routine maintenance tasks in workshops and built environments.
  • Prepare work areas, materials, tools, and equipment for maintenance activities.
  • Load, unload, and transport workshop materials and departmental assets.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in workshops and work areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.
  • Handle tools and equipment responsibly, reporting any damaged or defective items.
  • Execute other reasonable duties as instructed by your supervisor.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 10/ABET qualification or a related qualification recognised by SAQA.
  • At least six months of trade-related experience.
  • Basic literacy and communication skills.
  • Understanding of maintenance tasks within the built environment.
  • Physical fitness and ability to carry out manual duties.
  • Good time management and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and follow instructions.
