What You’ll Do

• Assist with routine maintenance and workshop activities under supervision
• Prepare work areas, materials, tools, and equipment for various tasks
• Load, unload, and transport workshop materials and departmental assets
• Care for, clean, and store tools and equipment, reporting any damaged items
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly workshop and work areas in line with safety regulations
• Handle tools and materials responsibly to prevent loss or damage
• Perform additional reasonable duties as instructed by your supervisor

What You’ll Need

• A Grade 10/ABET qualification or a related qualification recognized by SAQA
• At least six months of trade-related experience
• Ability to read and write effectively
• Good communication skills and basic knowledge of maintenance within the built environment
• Basic maintenance skills and the ability to work safely with hand tools and electrical equipment
• Physical fitness to carry out routine manual tasks
• Strong time-management skills and attention to detail
• A commitment to occupational health and workplace safety
