What You’ll Do

  • Handle administrative duties and correspondence between the municipality and stakeholders
  • Maintain an organized filing system and update the authorisations database
  • Keep detailed records of expenditures within the directorate
  • Assist in compiling and managing the budget
  • Administer all procurement processes and payment procedures
  • Provide administrative support during recruitment and selection processes
  • Manage performance management processes for the directorate
  • Compile training plans and make logistical arrangements for meetings and workshops
  • Prepare document packs and take minutes during meetings
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for staff as needed

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 certificate plus a recognised National Diploma or Undergraduate qualification in Office Administration (NQF Level 6)
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a related field
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent organisational and planning abilities
  • Strategic, analytical, and creative thinking skills
  • Understanding of financial management and procurement policies
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • A valid driver’s licence
