About the Role
The National Prosecuting Authority is seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Administrative Clerk, based in Bloemfontein. This position is crucial in enhancing the efficiency of the justice system, ensuring that the flow of information between the courts and prosecutors is seamless. As an Administrative Clerk, you will play an essential part in maintaining the integrity of case files and supporting the legal team in their daily operations.
In this role, you will be responsible for registering incoming dockets, capturing critical information on the electronic case register, and providing essential administrative support. The work you do directly impacts the effectiveness of the justice system, helping to uphold the rule of law and ensure that justice is served efficiently in the Bloemfontein community and beyond.

What You’ll Do
- Register incoming dockets and manage electronic case records
- Capture and update information daily based on court activities
- Provide electronic dockets and photocopies to Defence as requested by Prosecutors
- Liaise with Prosecutors regarding ongoing cases and court updates
- Verify and document court proceedings and updates
- Generate reports for statistical purposes from the electronic case register
- Create various reports using Access, Power BI, and PowerPoint tools
- Prepare case summaries using Excel spreadsheets
- Maintain case files and manage document distribution
- Attend to queries regarding case flow from Prosecutors and SAPS
- Support general administrative functions as required by your line manager
What You’ll Need
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- Strong communication and administrative skills
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate professionalism
- Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills
- Customer-focused with strong problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Good analytical skills and flexibility in handling tasks
- Strong time management skills for task prioritisation
