What You’ll Do

  • Manage the implementation of nursing curricula at the campus and sub-campus levels.
  • Ensure quality assurance and effective change management for all teaching and learning programs.
  • Coordinate and monitor community-based education and work-integrated learning initiatives.
  • Create an environment conducive to teaching and learning for students, academics, and clinical facilitators.
  • Oversee adherence to college policies and national regulations in nursing education.
  • Facilitate clinical placements for nursing students in approved facilities.
  • Support the continuous professional development of academic staff.
  • Manage student academic processes, including recruitment, registration, and record-keeping.
  • Promote a culture of research among students and faculty to enhance evidence-based practice.

What You’ll Need

  • National Senior Certificate and NQF Level 7 qualification in Nursing, Level 8 in Education and Management, and Level 9 in Health Sciences.
  • Minimum of 10 years of nursing experience after registration with the SANC, including 6 years in Nursing Education.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant nursing and education legislation and policies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Strong report writing, facilitation, and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and a valid driver’s license.
