The Directorate: Human Resource for Health is seeking a dedicated Deputy Director: Community Health Workers to join their team in Pretoria. What You’ll Do
- Facilitate the development and implementation of training programs for Community Health Workers.
- Assist in designing, implementing, and monitoring community health initiatives.
- Develop and review policies and guidelines for Community Health Workers in line with primary health care models.
- Support provinces in creating business and operational plans for health programs.
- Assess the performance of Community Health Workers and provide actionable feedback.
- Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships to enhance training program effectiveness.
- Monitor and evaluate health program data to ensure objectives are met.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 certificate and an NQF 7 qualification in Health Sciences as recognized by SAQA.
- A qualification in training or development is an advantage.
- At least three (3) years of experience in primary health care at the Assistant Director or equivalent level.
- Knowledge of primary health care, community health worker programs, and health promotion strategies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with project management capabilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to manage information effectively.
- A valid driver’s license and readiness to travel as needed.
