What You’ll Do

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations and produce high-quality images.
• Write detailed reports in accordance with established protocols.
• Ensure compliance with Radiation Control Board and HPCSA regulations.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and perform monthly statistics in the department.
• Facilitate staff and student development through training and mentorship.
• Participate in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) as required by HPCSA.
• Render after-hour radiology services as necessary.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines to ensure patient safety.

What You’ll Need

• A Senior Certificate / Grade 12 and a relevant qualification for HPCSA registration in Radiography, Radiation Oncology Radiography, Ultrasound Radiography, or Mammography Radiography.
• Current registration with the HPCSA in one of the aforementioned fields.
• A minimum of four (4) years of appropriate experience post-registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
• Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational skills to complete examinations promptly.
• A thorough understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to high standards of patient care.
