What You’ll Do
- Manage the reception desk, greeting and directing patients and the public with professionalism.
- Operate the switchboard and PA system, ensuring seamless communication.
- Maintain and troubleshoot mobile and handset phones, including reporting faults and managing replacements.
- Keep the operator’s directory updated and assist with recordkeeping for telephone accounts and PA system requests.
- Capture information accurately on computer applications and provide administrative support to colleagues and supervisors.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum educational qualification of General Education and Training Certificate (GETC)/Grade 9 (Std 7).
- Relevant experience in operating electronic switchboards, PA systems, copy machines, and computer applications.
- Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, as required.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including handling parcels and patient folders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with excellent listening and telephone etiquette.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and good recordkeeping abilities.
