What You’ll Do

  • Manage the infrastructure and architectural services related to ICT support for schools and regional offices.
  • Plan and oversee the performance of the Sub directorate: People Management and Financial Management.
  • Lead a team responsible for business and technology planning, development, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory frameworks, and best practices in ICT.
  • Foster a culture of mentoring and coaching within the team to enhance professional development.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to align ICT initiatives with provincial government objectives.
  • Manage performance systems and address any disciplinary or grievance matters within the team.

What You’ll Need

  • A relevant 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma/B-Degree/equivalent or higher) in IT or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant technical experience, with at least 3 years in a management capacity.
  • A valid code B driving license.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with legislation and policies relevant to ICT and public service.
  • Proven understanding of operational management practices and team performance management.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with a focus on mentoring and coaching.
