What You’ll Do
- Provide technical survey services and support for various projects.
- Maintain, examine, and archive survey documents, ensuring proper evaluation and approval.
- Conduct surveys, perform calculations, and evaluate plans and technical manuals.
- Promote safety in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Offer Geographic Information System (GIS) and mapping services.
- Compile and submit reports, contributing to project documentation and operational planning.
- Supervise and support Candidate Survey Technicians/Officers.
- Conduct research and development to improve survey techniques and technologies.
- Liaise with relevant bodies regarding survey-related matters.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in Survey or Cartography (NQF Level 6).
- Compulsory registration with the South African Geomatics Council (SAGC) as a Survey Technician or Surveyor.
- A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification technical survey experience.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Strong knowledge of programme/project management and survey design.
- Proficiency in computer-aided survey applications.
- Excellent decision-making, analytical, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage teams and foster a high-performance culture.
