What You’ll Do

• Provide technical survey services and support for various projects.
• Maintain, examine, and archive survey documents, ensuring proper evaluation and approval.
• Conduct surveys, perform calculations, and evaluate plans and technical manuals.
• Promote safety in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Offer Geographic Information System (GIS) and mapping services.
• Compile and submit reports, contributing to project documentation and operational planning.
• Supervise and support Candidate Survey Technicians/Officers.
• Conduct research and development to improve survey techniques and technologies.
• Liaise with relevant bodies regarding survey-related matters.

What You’ll Need

• A Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in Survey or Cartography (NQF Level 6).
• Compulsory registration with the South African Geomatics Council (SAGC) as a Survey Technician or Surveyor.
• A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification technical survey experience.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Strong knowledge of programme/project management and survey design.
• Proficiency in computer-aided survey applications.
• Excellent decision-making, analytical, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage teams and foster a high-performance culture.
