The Uthukela District Office is seeking a dedicated and skilled Chief Artisan to join its team. What You’ll Do

• Investigate and resolve complaints related to infrastructure from staff and community members.
• Conduct regular site inspections during building and construction projects to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Inspect potential new clinic sites and provide technical guidance for planning and maintenance.
• Attend planning and process meetings to identify areas for improvement in healthcare facilities.
• Manage allocated resources efficiently and respond to emergencies involving infrastructure damage by mobilizing contractors.

What You’ll Need

• A Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
• An appropriate Trade Test Certificate as per the Manpower Act of 1981.
• A valid driver’s license.
• At least ten years of post-qualification experience as an Artisan or Artisan Foreman.
• Strong knowledge of project management, technical design, and analysis.
• Proficiency in computer-aided technical applications and technical report writing.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and customer service skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to plan and organize effectively.
