About the Role
The Uthukela District Office is seeking a dedicated and skilled Chief Artisan to join its team. What You’ll Do
- Investigate and resolve complaints related to infrastructure from staff and community members.
- Conduct regular site inspections during building and construction projects to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Inspect potential new clinic sites and provide technical guidance for planning and maintenance.
- Attend planning and process meetings to identify areas for improvement in healthcare facilities.
- Manage allocated resources efficiently and respond to emergencies involving infrastructure damage by mobilizing contractors.
What You’ll Need
- A Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
- An appropriate Trade Test Certificate as per the Manpower Act of 1981.
- A valid driver’s license.
- At least ten years of post-qualification experience as an Artisan or Artisan Foreman.
- Strong knowledge of project management, technical design, and analysis.
- Proficiency in computer-aided technical applications and technical report writing.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and customer service skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to plan and organize effectively.
