About the Role
The Supply Chain Clerk Supervisor position is an integral part of the South African government’s commitment to ensuring efficient procurement processes. Based in Silverton, Pretoria, this role involves overseeing the procurement of essential items such as radio equipment, IT supplies, stationery, and clothing. What You’ll Do
- Supervise and manage the procurement process for various essential supplies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including PFMA and Treasury regulations.
- Oversee the preparation and evaluation of bids and quotations for contract items.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs and ensure timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation for audit purposes.
- Provide training and support to team members on procurement procedures and regulations.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12/Senior Certificate/NCV Level 4 or equivalent qualification.
- At least four years of relevant experience in supply chain management.
- A three-year Diploma/Degree (NQF level 6 or higher) in a related field is an advantage.
- Proficiency in English and at least one other official language.
- Strong computer literacy, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
- A valid driver’s license for light motor vehicles is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
