What You’ll Do

  • Conduct quarterly asset counts and bi-annual physical verifications of movable assets.
  • Update and maintain the Asset Register to ensure accuracy.
  • Manage the receiving and barcoding of new assets.
  • Update inventory lists and the leased assets register.
  • Assist with the disposal and management of asset losses.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve departmental goals.
  • Perform additional tasks as required to support the department’s objectives.

What You’ll Need

  • A Senior/Grade 12 certificate is essential.
  • A National Diploma (NQF 6) in Accounting, Financial Management, Logistics Management, or Supply Chain Management is an advantage.
  • Current enrollment in an internship in Finance or Supply Chain Management is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of the PFMA, Asset Management Framework, and Treasury Regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent planning, coordination, and organisational skills.
  • Flexibility, teamwork, and strong interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a commitment to maintaining discipline.
