What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate and manage procurement needs for the Cluster
  • Implement and review the demand management plan
  • Verify compliance of requests for goods and services
  • Shortlist and engage with suitable suppliers
  • Ensure adherence to Supply Chain Management (SCM) policies and processes
  • Provide clerical support for demand and acquisition activities
  • Serve as secretariat for bid committee meetings
  • Conduct checks on purchase requisitions and orders for accuracy
  • Approve purchase requisitions and orders using the SAP system
  • Create and administer contracts, ensuring compliance with performance standards
  • Maintain and update the contract register for transparency
  • Render logistical support services, including verifying goods received
  • Manage stock levels and conduct regular stocktaking
  • Supervise and mentor staff within the supply chain team
  • Process payments and provide asset management support
  • Offer training to internal clients on SCM procedures and updates

What You’ll Need

  • A Senior/Grade 12 certificate or an equivalent qualification
  • Three to five years of relevant experience in Supply Chain Management
  • Basic understanding of supply chain practices and data management
  • Familiarity with Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and Treasury Regulations
  • Proficiency in financial operating systems, including SAP
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to effectively manage performance information
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
