What You’ll Do

  • Manage and control cleaning equipment and materials, ensuring they are in good condition and available when needed.
  • Supervise the provision of housekeeping and cleaning services to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all assigned areas.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to cleaning services, including training and development of staff.
  • Conduct inspections of cleaned areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Identify and address any hazards related to fire and electricity in the workplace.
  • Ensure the safe disposal of refuse and maintain a tidy environment in and around the facilities.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum of Grade 10 or ABET Level 4 qualification.
  • Knowledge of cleaning practices and experience operating cleaning equipment.
  • Understanding of occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Familiarity with personnel practices and the Labour Relations Act.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively manage and supervise the cleaning staff.
