What You’ll Do

  • Provide comprehensive student liaison services at the Ladysmith Campus.
  • Offer welfare support by facilitating communication between students and relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports on student engagement and support activities.
  • Assist students with academic support plans tailored to their individual needs.
  • Address student accommodation requests and facilitate solutions.
  • Guide students in making informed decisions to enhance their academic performance.
  • Promote continuous awareness of HIV/AIDS and other health-related information among students.
  • Manage socio-economic issues affecting students, including substance use and related challenges.
  • Monitor student attendance and encourage regular participation in classes.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12/National Senior Certificate or NCV level 4 or an equivalent qualification.
  • A recognized National Diploma or Degree in Social Science, Psychology, Education, or a relevant field.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in student support services or an education-related environment.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Knowledge of the Public Sector and the TVET environment is essential.
  • Familiarity with Psychology practices and public service legislative frameworks, including the Public Service Act and Batho Pele Principles.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent planning and organizing capabilities.
