What You’ll Do
- Analyse existing social welfare and community development policies for relevance and compliance.
- Monitor and interpret legislation, policies, and procedures to ensure they meet current requirements.
- Facilitate the communication of policies and enable their implementation through operational guidelines and capacity building.
- Liaise with various stakeholders, including governmental and non-governmental entities, to stay updated on developments in the social sector.
- Oversee the legislative process for both primary and secondary statutory policies.
What You’ll Need
- A formal 4-year degree/diploma in social work.
- Registration and proof of current registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
- A valid Code B driving license.
- Strong knowledge of social welfare and community development legislation and interventions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, including proficiency in two official languages of the Western Cape Government.
