What You’ll Do

  • Provide student liaison services and support at the campus.
  • Guide students in career planning and personal development.
  • Manage the induction process for new students.
  • Offer welfare support by connecting students with relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly support reports detailing student progress.
  • Assist with academic support plans for identified students.
  • Promote regular attendance and monitor attendance registers.
  • Conduct home visits and interviews with students and their families.
  • Support families by implementing absence reduction programs.
  • Manage fundamental support programs and peer educator initiatives.

What You’ll Need

  • A Degree or National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Social Science, Education, Psychology, or a related qualification recognized by SAQA.
  • 1-2 years of work experience in student support services or a teaching environment.
  • Proven knowledge of the public sector and the TVET environment.
  • Strong understanding of psychology, public services framework, and Batho Pele principles.
  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication, administrative, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to occasionally work outside regular hours.
  • Team player with strong problem-solving abilities.
