What You’ll Do
- Process payments to service providers promptly and accurately, ensuring compliance with internal procedures.
- Maintain an incoming document register and ensure all payments are supported by valid documentation.
- Compile regular payment reports and accounts payable reconciliations for review.
- Update and maintain the vendor master file and electronic vendor register.
- Conduct weekly vendor reconciliations and ensure effective document control of financial records.
- Perform quality control checks on all payment documents and ensure proper filing of financial records.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all financial transactions comply with National Treasury Regulations and the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in Accounting, Financial Management, Commerce, or a related qualification.
- At least 1 year of experience in financial management services.
- A solid understanding of National Treasury Regulations and the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
- Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with excellent planning and organizational abilities.
- A valid driver’s license and the capacity to work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
