What You’ll Do

  • Provide effective speech therapy and audiology services to patients in accordance with health protocols.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in student training, supervision, and performance evaluation.
  • Maintain quality assurance and adhere to departmental standards and norms.
  • Perform record keeping, data collection, and assist with budget control.
  • Engage in professional development activities for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Participate in departmental research projects and quality assurance methods.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders while ensuring adherence to Batho-Pele Principles and the Patient’s Right Charter.

What You’ll Need

  • A Senior Certificate / Grade 12 and a qualification allowing registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Speech Therapist and Audiologist.
  • Current registration with the HPCSA in the relevant profession.
  • For South African qualified employees: no experience required post-registration (considering community service).
  • For foreign qualified employees: at least one year of relevant experience post-registration.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with good interpersonal relations.
  • Problem-solving skills and knowledge of the relevant Health and Safety Act.
  • Basic quality assurance testing abilities and computer literacy.
  • A valid driver’s license.
