What You’ll Do

  • Compile and submit progress reports on equity targets and compliance with the employment equity plan
  • Promote and support a gender-sensitive and disability-friendly workplace
  • Integrate youth, gender, disability, and elderly programmes into the community
  • Manage financial aspects within the directorate, ensuring effective resource allocation
  • Facilitate capacity building and awareness initiatives for all staff
  • Disseminate information and promote best practices through networking
  • Oversee procurement and logistical needs for the sub-directorate at the district level
  • Implement national and provincial directives related to special programmes

What You’ll Need

  • An NQF 6 qualification in Public Administration, Public Management, HRM, Gender Studies, Youth Studies, Disability Studies, or equivalent
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in Special Programmes or Administration within government
  • A valid driver’s license (with exceptions for persons with disabilities)
  • Strong knowledge of Public Service HR Policies, Employment Equity, and related legislation
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in planning, organisation, and coordination
  • Skills in report writing, policy analysis, and programme management
  • Financial management expertise and a customer-oriented approach
