What You’ll Do

• Conduct assessments to identify the needs of learners.
• Provide counseling and recommend appropriate interventions.
• Implement recommended interventions while offering continuous support to individuals, groups, families, and communities.
• Monitor the effectiveness and progress of interventions.
• Provide psychosocial support and participate in child protection initiatives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance educational outcomes for learners with special needs.

What You’ll Need

• An NQF level 7 qualification in Social Work recognized by SAQA.
• Valid and active registration with the South African Council of Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
• Relevant experience as a Social Worker, with an advantage for those experienced in working with special educational needs.
• Strong knowledge of social welfare legislation, counseling, and case management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
