What You’ll Do
- Conduct assessments to identify the needs of learners.
- Provide counseling and recommend appropriate interventions.
- Implement recommended interventions while offering continuous support to individuals, groups, families, and communities.
- Monitor the effectiveness and progress of interventions.
- Provide psychosocial support and participate in child protection initiatives.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance educational outcomes for learners with special needs.
What You’ll Need
- An NQF level 7 qualification in Social Work recognized by SAQA.
- Valid and active registration with the South African Council of Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
- Relevant experience as a Social Worker, with an advantage for those experienced in working with special educational needs.
- Strong knowledge of social welfare legislation, counseling, and case management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
