What You’ll Do

• Provide social work services focused on the care and development of vulnerable individuals and communities.
• Engage in casework, group work, and community initiatives.
• Supervise and support the continuous professional development of social auxiliary workers.
• Stay updated with advancements in social work and social welfare fields.
• Manage all necessary administrative functions related to the role.
• Address social instability issues and work towards effective solutions.

What You’ll Need

• A relevant tertiary qualification in social work (Bachelor of Social Work) that allows registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions.
• Registration as a social worker with the South African Council for Social Service Professions.
• A valid Code B driving license.
• For Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in social work after registration.
• For Grade 3: At least 20 years’ experience post-registration.
• For Grade 4: A minimum of 30 years’ experience in social work after registration.
• Strong knowledge of social work theory, legislation, and practices.
• Excellent communication and report writing skills.
• Ability to mentor and coach junior social workers.
