What You’ll Do

• Provide clinical social work services focused on the care and support of vulnerable individuals and families.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop individualized care and safety plans.
• Offer counseling services to individuals and families, addressing their unique needs.
• Collaborate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team and relevant external stakeholders.
• Make appropriate referrals to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
• Stay updated with developments in the field to ensure best practices in service delivery.
• Maintain accountability through the application of the Social Work Administrative process.

What You’ll Need

• A relevant qualification in Social Work that allows registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professionals (SACSSP).
• Registration with the SACSSP as a Social Worker.
• For Grade 1: No experience required post-registration.
• For Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years’ experience in social work post-registration.
• For Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years’ experience in social work post-registration.
• For Grade 4: A minimum of 30 years’ experience in social work post-registration.
• A valid Code B driver’s license.
• Strong skills in psychosocial assessment and counseling.
• Knowledge of relevant statutory processes and excellent communication skills.
• Computer literacy and the ability to work effectively with vulnerable populations.
