What You’ll Do

  • Oversee and coordinate imaging services within the Radiology department.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images to facilitate accurate patient diagnoses.
  • Manage and supervise radiography staff and students, ensuring comprehensive training.
  • Maintain the cost centre and manage inventory and supplies effectively.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and provide feedback to improve staff efficiency.
  • Implement quality assurance protocols and ensure equipment safety and maintenance.
  • Participate in hospital management activities and assist with statistical data collection.

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate qualification for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
  • Current HPCSA registration as an Independent Practitioner in Diagnostic Radiography.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Willingness to work shifts as required.
  • Strong knowledge of radiation protection, quality assurance, and equipment evaluation.
  • Proficiency in managing general, trauma, and emergency radiography, including Computerised Tomography (CT).
  • Excellent computer skills and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
