What You’ll Do

  • Supervise and mentor social workers and social auxiliary workers to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP) standards and protocols.
  • Coordinate and manage various social welfare programs, focusing on the transformation of social services.
  • Provide counselling and support to clients, addressing their unique needs and challenges.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of non-profit organisations involved in social work initiatives.
  • Conduct assessments and implement strategies to improve service delivery and outcomes for vulnerable populations.

What You’ll Need

  • A Bachelor of Social Work, recognized by SAQA.
  • Current registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
  • At least seven years of social work experience following registration with the SACSSP.
  • A valid motor vehicle driver’s license (with exceptions for persons with disabilities).
  • Proficiency in computer programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and report writing skills.
  • Knowledge of social work service delivery models and relevant programs, along with people management capabilities.
