What You’ll Do
- Provide specialized Occupational Therapy services tailored to individual client needs.
- Manage clinical cases, supporting clients in their rehabilitation and community reintegration.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Assist in the supervision and guidance of students and junior staff within the department.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance professional skills and knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, ethical codes, and professional standards.
- Manage resources efficiently, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the department.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate qualification for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Occupational Therapist.
- Registration with the HPCSA as an Occupational Therapist.
- For Grade 1: No post-registration experience required; for Grade 2: Minimum of 10 years relevant experience; for Grade 3: Minimum of 20 years relevant experience.
- Valid Code B/EB driver’s license.
- Therapeutic knowledge in managing clients with neurological deficits and other medical conditions.
- Flexibility and innovation to adapt to varying client needs.
- Proficient computer skills in MS Office.
- Ability to guide and supervise students effectively.
