What You’ll Do

• Provide advanced social work services focusing on care, support, protection, and development of vulnerable individuals and communities.
• Manage and support the implementation of Developmental Social Welfare Services Programmes according to legislation and policies.
• Facilitate the planning and development of social work programmes and interventions.
• Ensure efficient utilization of financial and human resources to deliver effective services.
• Stay updated on developments in social work and management fields to improve service delivery.
• Conduct complex social work research and manage the administrative functions of the social work unit.

What You’ll Need

• A National Senior Certificate and a Degree in Social Work that allows registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in social work, including 3-5 years in a supervisory role.
• Registration with SACSSP as a Social Worker.
• Strong competencies in strategic capacity, leadership, programme management, and financial management.
• Advanced skills in problem-solving, client orientation, communication, and computer literacy.
• A valid South African driver’s license.
