What You’ll Do
- Support social workers in delivering social work services to vulnerable individuals and communities.
- Assist in addressing matters that may lead to social instability.
- Stay updated with developments in the social work and social services field.
- Perform administrative tasks to support the work of social workers.
- Compile accurate reports and maintain precise records of social needs and services provided.
- Collaborate effectively with social workers and multidisciplinary teams in service delivery.
- Implement social auxiliary work methods to meet the needs of client systems.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate recognized NQF level 4 (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification, along with a Social Auxiliary Certificate.
- Current registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
- A basic understanding of social welfare, including relevant policies and practices.
- Knowledge of human behavior, social issues, and the South African judicial system.
- Ability to work collaboratively with social workers and address the needs of priority focus groups.
- Skills in research and administrative support related to social auxiliary work.
