What You’ll Do
- Assist social workers in providing social work services to vulnerable populations.
- Support the planning and implementation of departmental programs aimed at community development.

- Maintain accurate records and compile reports on social needs and auxiliary work activities.
- Participate in continuous professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in social auxiliary work.
- Perform administrative tasks as required to support the functions of social workers.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 10 certificate and completion of a learnership for registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP) as a Social Auxiliary Worker.
- Current registration with the SACSSP as a Social Auxiliary Worker.
- A valid code B driving license.
- Knowledge of human behaviour, social issues, and the South African social welfare context.
- Understanding of the legislation governing social auxiliary work and the South African judicial system.
- Basic financial knowledge related to social auxiliary work.
- Good record-keeping and reporting skills, with an emphasis on protocol and professional ethics.
