What You’ll Do
- Support the compilation and submission of budget inputs for various projects.
- Prepare templates for budget inputs and distribute them to executing units.
- Analyze and consolidate budget inputs to draft budget submissions for approval.
- Compile authorization documents and update the Work Control System (WCS).
- Determine the availability of funds within respective allocations.
- Liaise with clients and other departments for additional funding requests.
- Monitor and analyze expenditure levels, cash flow, and prepare monthly expenditure reports.
- Assist in compiling and distributing expenditure reports to client departments.
- Provide administrative support for the effective functioning of the sub-unit.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and contribute to financial management for audit purposes.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of a three-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 06) in Financial Management or a related field.
- Relevant work experience in financial management or accounting.
- Knowledge of Works Control System (WCS) and Basic Accounting System (BAS).
- Understanding of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and Treasury Regulations.
- Proficiency in government financial systems and budgetary processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic numeracy.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure while maintaining a people-oriented approach.
