What You’ll Do

• Ensure compliance with the Restitution of Land Rights Act and related legal frameworks.
• Review and analyze research reports, including compliance and representation documents.
• Attend stakeholder engagements and negotiations with landowners and claimants.
• Prepare and review various legal documents, including memoranda, notices, and agreements.
• Facilitate the transfer of land and financial compensation processes.
• Coordinate litigation support and draft necessary court documents.
• Conduct research on special projects related to land reform and restitution policy development.
• Liaise with various stakeholders, including legal representatives and government officials.

What You’ll Need

• Grade 12 Certificate and an appropriate LLB or B Proc Degree (NQF Level 7) or related qualification.
• Minimum of 6 years of extensive post-qualification legal experience, including 4 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven experience in court litigation and document vetting.
• In-depth knowledge of the Restitution of Land Rights Act and South African land reform laws.
• Strong negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and readiness to work under pressure.
• A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
