What You’ll Do

• Provide high-quality clinical services in the field of Infectious Diseases.
• Ensure effective clinical governance and administration within the department.
• Mentor and supervise junior medical staff, fostering their growth and development.
• Participate in research projects aimed at fulfilling the requirements for the MPhil degree.
• Engage in effective communication, including generating reports and conducting consultations.

What You’ll Need

• Appropriate qualification for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Specialist in Internal Medicine.
• Current registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Independent Practice in Internal Medicine.
• Commitment to commuted overtime as part of the role.
• Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment in various contexts (inpatient, outpatient, and emergency).
• Competency in effective administration and communication, including report generation and letter writing.
