What You’ll Do
- Provide high-quality clinical services in the field of Infectious Diseases.
- Ensure effective clinical governance and administration within the department.
- Mentor and supervise junior medical staff, fostering their growth and development.
- Participate in research projects aimed at fulfilling the requirements for the MPhil degree.
- Engage in effective communication, including generating reports and conducting consultations.
What You’ll Need
- Appropriate qualification for registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Medical Specialist in Internal Medicine.
- Current registration with the HPCSA as a Medical Specialist in Independent Practice in Internal Medicine.
- Commitment to commuted overtime as part of the role.
- Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment in various contexts (inpatient, outpatient, and emergency).
- Competency in effective administration and communication, including report generation and letter writing.
