What You’ll Do

• Investigate and validate land restitution claims to ensure accuracy and transparency.
• Gather oral and documentary evidence to support claims and compile research reports.
• Engage with claimants and stakeholders to facilitate discussions and negotiations.
• Prepare terms of reference for valuation and recommendations from the Office of the Valuer-General.
• Compile verification reports and manage claims inquiries from various levels of government.
• Facilitate community meetings and ensure effective communication throughout the claims process.
• Conduct deeds research for properties and compile spreadsheets for valuations.

What You’ll Need

• A Grade 12 Certificate and a Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Agriculture, Development Studies, Social Science, Law, or a related field (NQF Level 6).
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a land reform environment.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Strong knowledge of development management, research methods, and community facilitation.
• Excellent project management and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to draft detailed reports and terms of reference for service providers.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Initiative and the ability to take responsibility while meeting deadlines.
• Proficiency in computer literacy and the ability to produce reports.
