What You’ll Do

  • Analyze and address grievances and complaints from employees within the province.
  • Draft charges and finalize all misconduct cases in accordance with relevant regulations.
  • Represent the Department in disputes referred to the General Public Service Sectoral Bargaining Council (GPSSBC) and the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA).
  • Conduct advocacy sessions on employment-related matters to educate and support employees.
  • Provide essential administrative support services to ensure efficient operations within the section.

What You’ll Need

  • An undergraduate qualification (NQF level 6) in Human Resource Management or Labour Relations Management recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of two years of functional experience in the Employment Relations Management environment.
  • Familiarity with the Public Service Commission’s rules, Public Service Coordinating Bargaining Council resolutions, and relevant employment legislation.
  • Strong skills in negotiation, problem-solving, communication, and report writing.
  • A valid driver’s license would be an added advantage.
