What You’ll Do

  • Implement and manage the Workplace Skills Plan at the district level.
  • Assist in identifying and collating training needs for educators.
  • Support the DCES People Management in drafting and executing the Workplace Skills Plan.
  • Ensure accurate administration of training interventions and maintain up-to-date records.
  • Compile training reports in alignment with SETA requirements.
  • Administer the District Professional Development Plan and monitor its implementation.
  • Facilitate the identification and nomination process for in-service training courses.
  • Monitor professional participation at schools in accordance with relevant development plans.
  • Provide administrative oversight for the National Teaching Awards process.
  • Assist in the administration of Staff Performance Management Systems.
  • Prepare reports related to training interventions and performance management.

What You’ll Need

  • National Senior Certificate (or equivalent) plus a relevant 3-year post-school qualification.
  • At least 1 year of clerical or administrative experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of public service procedures and applicable policies.
  • Familiarity with people management processes and labour relations.
  • Strong skills in problem-solving, budgeting, and project planning.
  • Proficient in computer literacy and effective communication.
