What You’ll Do

  • Facilitate and implement the advertising process for various positions within the department.
  • Receive and process staff requisition forms and ensure proper motivation for advertised posts.
  • Draft and oversee the recruitment and selection processes, maintaining thorough records of applications.
  • Sort and assess applications, developing profiles for potential candidates.
  • Coordinate the invitation and interview process for shortlisted applicants, representing Human Resources during interviews.
  • Communicate results to successful applicants and verify educational qualifications and certificates.
  • Prepare appointment letters and support personal planning requirements while compiling and maintaining the human resource plan.
  • Conduct human resource assessments and promote adherence to the Employment Equity Plan.
  • Stay updated on changes in employment legislation and ensure HR processes are compliant.
  • Supervise staff to ensure effective service delivery and allocate duties while performing quality control.
  • Manage the performance and development of supervisees, fostering a productive work environment.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum of a three-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 06) in Human Resource Management or a related field.
  • Relevant working experience in Human Resource Recruitment Management.
  • Strong understanding of HR recruitment standards, practices, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with the structure and functioning of the department, as well as relevant employment legislation.
  • Proficient in PERSAL and knowledgeable about public finance management and employment equity.
  • Excellent interpersonal, advisory, and supervisory skills, alongside strong organizational abilities.
  • Competent in computer utilization and possess analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Creative, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with a strong focus on people orientation.
