What You’ll Do
- Promote a sound labour relations environment within the public service.
- Investigate and assist in resolving individual and collective complaints and grievances.
- Preside over misconduct cases and coordinate disciplinary hearings.
- Represent the Department at conciliation and arbitration sessions.
- Facilitate the implementation of settlement agreements and arbitration awards.
- Provide support for compliance with the legislative framework regarding grievances and disputes.
- Compile comprehensive reports and submissions related to grievances and disputes.
- Advise on industrial action matters and ensure the proper handling of such issues.
What You’ll Need
- NQF level 6 or 7 qualification as recognized by SAQA; a qualification in Human Resource Management, Labour Relations or related fields is advantageous.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Labour Relations or a related field.
- A valid driver’s license is required, except for individuals with disabilities.
- Sound knowledge of Labour Relations statutes and regulations.
- Strong skills in investigations, negotiations, administrative tasks, planning, and organizing.
- Proficient in financial management and report writing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving abilities and a client-oriented approach.
- Computer literacy and project management experience.
- Personal attributes such as integrity, commitment, loyalty, proactivity, and ethical conduct.
