The Witbank Hospital is looking for a motivated Administrative Officer: Auxiliary Services to join their team. What You’ll Do
- Implement and oversee office support services, ensuring adherence to hospital policies.
- Facilitate general office support, including porter, mortuary, switchboard, security, and messenger services.
- Ensure compliance with National Core Standards and ideal assessment tools.
- Manage leave and overtime matters for staff, providing guidance to floor supervisors.
- Monitor security services and ensure the Control Room is functioning effectively at all times.
- Oversee the movement of corpses and coordinate with wards and supervisors.
- Participate in budgeting and control measures to ensure financial accountability.
- Order and manage the distribution of materials and equipment for your units.
- Conduct staff performance evaluations and facilitate their professional development.
- Attend departmental meetings and provide feedback to management.
What You’ll Need
- Senior Certificate / Grade 12 with three years’ experience in Auxiliary Services, or a Diploma/Degree (NQF Level 6/7) in Public Administration.
- Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Public Service Act, and relevant regulations.
- Proficiency in office management and computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong planning, organizational, and supervisory skills.
- Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and infection control practices.
- A valid driver’s license is essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
