What You’ll Do

• Coordinate and conduct audits and inspections related to ground stability and mining operations.
• Investigate mine-related accidents and analyze trends to identify high-risk activities.
• Serve on boards of examiners as required to oversee compliance and safety measures.
• Provide input on mine closure processes, prospecting rights, and mining permits.
• Manage and oversee various activities to ensure efficient operations within the mining sector.

What You’ll Need

• National Diploma in Mining Engineering (NQF6) and a Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency.
• A valid driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years’ experience at a junior managerial level in mining.
• Strong knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act, relevant regulations, and mining engineering equipment.
• Excellent report writing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to analyze accident statistics effectively.
• Innovative problem-solving skills, with the capacity to remain calm under pressure.
