What You’ll Do

• Conduct and report on audits and inspections of mining equipment and related systems.
• Investigate and analyze mine-related accidents and complaints, providing necessary recommendations.
• Test and license mining equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Serve on boards of examiners as required and provide input on mining rights and permits.
• Contribute to regional reports and the revision of machinery regulations and guidelines.
• Provide recommendations for improving mining engineering solutions and managing risks.

What You’ll Need

• A National Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (NQF 6).
• A Certificate of Competency for Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (Mines).
• At least 3 years of experience in the mining sector.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act, regulations, and legal proceedings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Excellent report writing and interpersonal skills.
