What You’ll Do

  • Supervise the processing and operational activities of post receipt and pre-processing within the unit.
  • Implement and ensure adherence to the correct processes and procedures for identity document processing.
  • Develop and execute quality assurance strategies for the completion and dispatch of identity documents.
  • Liaise with government entities and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of services.
  • Manage the filing and disposal of undelivered or incomplete identity documents in compliance with regulations.
  • Resolve technical issues and escalate complex matters to the supervisor when necessary.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
  • Coach and guide staff, promoting best practices and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Oversee the effective management of human, physical, and financial resources within the unit.

What You’ll Need

  • An undergraduate qualification in Public Administration, Public Management, Operations, or Business Management at NQF level 6, as recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in customer service or civic services with in-depth knowledge of fingerprint processing.
  • Proficient in drafting 212 statements and providing court representation.
  • Basic understanding of public service regulations and departmental legislation.
  • Strong customer focus with excellent analytical and planning skills.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and solve problems effectively.
  • Basic report writing and image editing skills, along with physical ability to manage equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to integrity and accountability.
