About the Role
The Department of Correctional Services is seeking a dedicated Senior Case Officer: Complaints based in Centurion. What You’ll Do
- Receive and adjudicate inmate complaints effectively and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of complaints and resolutions for analysis.
- Provide comprehensive reports to the Manager of the Complaints Unit.
- Liaise with various stakeholders, including the Department of Correctional Services and Visitors Committees.
- Supervise administrative staff within the Complaints Unit to ensure smooth operations.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12/Senior Certificate and a BProc/LLB Degree or relevant NQF 7 legal qualification as recognized by SAQA.
- 1–3 years of relevant working experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Strong computer literacy skills and proven competency in various areas of law, including constitutional and human rights law.
- Proficiency in English and at least one other official language.
- Excellent analytical writing skills and a valid driver’s license with a willingness to travel.
