What You’ll Do
- Supervise and manage the assets and liabilities of the hospital’s financial operations.
- Monitor and control budget expenditures to ensure efficient financial management.
- Provide effective support to the Assistant Director in financial accounting, compliance, and risk management.
- Oversee the preparation of the Budget Management Indicator (BMI) forecasting sessions.
- Authorize BAS and LOGIS payments to maintain financial accountability.
- Finalize the Interim Financial Statements (IFS) and Annual Financial Statements (AFS).
- Manage utility claims from estate partners and ensure proper documentation.
- Lead and mentor team members to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of a three-year national diploma or degree in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in Financial Management and expenditure control.
- Supervisory experience that demonstrates effective people management skills.
- Familiarity with completing and analyzing Budget Management Indicators (BMI).
- A valid Code B/EB driver’s license is required.
- Strong organizational, managerial, and leadership skills with a focus on financial figures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of PFMA, finance instructions, and treasury regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey financial information clearly.
