What You’ll Do

  • Supervise and manage the assets and liabilities of the hospital’s financial operations.
  • Monitor and control budget expenditures to ensure efficient financial management.
  • Provide effective support to the Assistant Director in financial accounting, compliance, and risk management.
  • Oversee the preparation of the Budget Management Indicator (BMI) forecasting sessions.
  • Authorize BAS and LOGIS payments to maintain financial accountability.
  • Finalize the Interim Financial Statements (IFS) and Annual Financial Statements (AFS).
  • Manage utility claims from estate partners and ensure proper documentation.
  • Lead and mentor team members to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum of a three-year national diploma or degree in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in Financial Management and expenditure control.
  • Supervisory experience that demonstrates effective people management skills.
  • Familiarity with completing and analyzing Budget Management Indicators (BMI).
  • A valid Code B/EB driver’s license is required.
  • Strong organizational, managerial, and leadership skills with a focus on financial figures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge of PFMA, finance instructions, and treasury regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey financial information clearly.
