The Department of Public Works and Infrastructure is seeking a Senior Administration Officer: Travel and Subsistence to join its Head Office in Pretoria. What You’ll Do
- Support the administration and smooth functioning of the S&T unit and related processes.
- Receive, record, and verify advances and claims from officials for domestic and international trips.
- Capture and maintain registers, ensuring accurate tracking of all transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial inputs related to S&T.
- Draft circulars for approval and prepare monthly S&T expenditure reports.
- Ensure suspense accounts are cleared within 30 days and administer submissions for approval.
- Provide general administrative support to regional offices and collate data for management reports.
- Coordinate internal training sessions and assist with the logistics response process.
- Manage human resources related to S&T and perform other assigned duties in support of supply chain management.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of a three-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 06) or National Diploma in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Relevant years of experience in travel and subsistence administration.
- Knowledge of National Treasury Travel Guidelines and related legislation, including the Public Finance Management Act.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for drafting quality documentation.
- Advanced interpersonal and diplomacy skills, with the ability to manage confidential information.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in computer literacy.
