What You’ll Do
- Provide administrative support to the FET Subject Specialist and the Director’s office.
- Follow up on communications and outstanding invoices with the procurement and assets section.
- Collaborate with officials from the Provincial Education Department on various FET programs.
- Analyze cash flow on a monthly basis and complete claims for overtime payment.
- Arrange workshops, conferences, and meetings, ensuring all necessary logistics are managed.
- Maintain accurate records of leave forms, telephone accounts, and other delegated functions.
- Facilitate travel arrangements and process subsistence and travel claims for the Directorate.
- Take minutes during meetings and provide secretarial support as required.
- Assist with various tasks as needed by other Directorates or teams.
What You’ll Need
- A Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- A solid understanding of public sector operations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently, manage high workloads, and multitask effectively.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
