What You’ll Do
- Perform access control functions and manage visitor check-ins.
- Confirm appointments and direct visitors to the relevant service points.
- Maintain and complete admission control registers.
- Issue necessary admission control documents and escort visitors as required.
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify security concerns.
- Monitor and report on suspicious objects or packages.
- Implement emergency procedures when necessary.
- Ensure the safe storage of departmental equipment and documents.
- Inspect vehicles entering and leaving the premises.
- Keep detailed records of equipment movement and report any missing items.
What You’ll Need
- National Senior Certificate or equivalent.
- Completion of a Basic Security Officer’s Course and Grade C registration with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA).
- A valid driver’s license.
- Up to 2 years of work-related experience preferred.
- Knowledge of security protocols and emergency procedures.
- Strong communication, observation, and conflict-handling skills.
- Basic computer literacy and time management abilities.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
