What You’ll Do

  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration within the region.
  • Coordinate and monitor ongoing activities at the Regional Office, CET, and TVET Colleges.
  • Assist in establishing and implementing partnerships to enhance educational opportunities.
  • Prepare and consolidate reports, submissions, and memos for the Regional Office.
  • Provide professional support regarding media inquiries and liaise with media on regional matters.
  • Advise the region on media-related issues and facilitate the design of publication materials.
  • Review and analyze policies to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by the Regional Manager.

What You’ll Need

  • A relevant bachelor’s degree or National diploma (NQF Level 6) in Public Management, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience as a Liaison Officer in either public or private sectors.
  • Knowledge of public service legislation, regulations, and policies, including PFMA.
  • Strong skills in drafting media statements, public relations, and communication protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentation, and listening).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to a code of ethics.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to think analytically.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, along with project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • A valid driver’s license and readiness to work extended hours.
