What You’ll Do
- Manage and monitor access control to ensure the safety of the premises.
- Provide assistance to visitors, directing them to the appropriate service points.
- Ensure thorough checks of admission control registers for completeness.
- Conduct regular building and premises patrols to monitor security.
- Report and follow up on security breaches and incidents.
- Ensure all entrances are properly locked and that safety checks are performed regularly.
- Supervise security personnel, maintaining discipline and adherence to uniform standards.
- Facilitate procurement for security services and verify the accuracy of work orders and invoices.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of all incidents and security activities.
- Monitor the application of emergency procedures and assist in training staff on security protocols.
What You’ll Need
- National Senior Certificate/Grade 12.
- National Diploma NQF Level 6 in Security Management or equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a security management environment as a Security Officer Supervisor.
- Registration with PSIRA is essential.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency in at least two official languages applicable in the Free State.
- Strong knowledge of access control and security regulations.
- Experience with CCTV surveillance and control room operations.
- Physical fitness and a willingness to work extended hours, including being available 24/7.
- Excellent report writing and computer skills.
