The South African Police Service is looking for dedicated individuals to join their team as Secretaries in Pretoria. What You’ll Do
- Provide secretarial and administrative support to the Section Heads.
- Manage and maintain the diary of the Section Head, coordinating meetings effectively.
- Prepare meeting venues, take minutes, and ensure necessary refreshments are provided.
- Type and format documents, reports, letters, and memorandums.
- Oversee the flow of documents and handle general correspondence, including emails.
- Screen incoming and outgoing calls professionally.
- Maintain a brought forward system for document management.
- Arrange travel and accommodation as needed.
What You’ll Need
- A minimum of four years’ experience in a similar administrative role.
- Proven competency in core functions of the post.
- Proficiency in English and one other official South African language.
- A Grade 12/Senior Certificate/NCV Level 4 or equivalent qualification (NQF Level 4).
- A three-year Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 6 or higher) is an advantage.
- Strong computer literacy, especially in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure.
